PffBT4T-2OD
PhotovoltaicDescription
** While supplies last
PffBT4T-2OD, also known as PCE11, is a p-type material for organic photovoltaic applications (OPV). This polymer shows high efficiency (PCE = 10.8%) with a wide variety of fullerene-based electron acceptors.
PCE11 is a medium bandgap polymer used in organic solar cells to attain high efficiencies. A PCE over 10.5% was reached when used with fullerene acceptors [1]. This material performs very well in thick films of 300 nm. Over 10% PCE can be attained when processed from non-chlorinated solvents with an active layer over 350 nm.[2] Recent studies demonstrated this material can perform well when used with non-fullerene acceptors, reaching a PCE of 9.5% with a high Voc of 1.08V.[3-4] Devices with the non-fullerene acceptor EH-IDTBR were more stable than those made using PC71BM.
This material is soluble in aromatic solvents (xylene, chlorobenzene, dichlorobenzene, etc.), but requires high temperatures (>90oC) and must be cast when heated. It has temperature-dependant aggregation properties [1], and it precipitates in these solvents (pure) at room temperature.
